next week, i’ll be in Suffolk, Virginia attending my stepfather’s retirement ceremony. after i come back, i’ll be heading south of America’s Finest City and south of the border to Tijuana with my co-worker to watch the next game Mexico plays in the World Cup. he came to work yesterday looking horrible and smelling slightly of Mexican alcohol and now i’m dying to see what it’s like down there with the games going on downtown.

i’ll be recording my first video, which i plan to edit thoroughly, with my new Nikon L100 and i have the PERFECT background song to put in the video. thank you, Kid Cudi:

Older sister, Ashley, just had a baby the day before her own birthday. Heck of an early birthday present, right?

My little niece, Gianna Alexis Hines, is gorgeous though. Ashley lives over in Suffolk, Virginia with my mother and stepfather but we were all over here in San Diego at the house, waiting for her to push the little one out. It was around 6 P.M. over here when she finally had the baby. Plenty of pics, plenty of smiles.

Drove down to South Carolina with the family for the 4th of July. I’m all for spending with the family, especially on the holidays but… f’ing mosquitos! I don’t want to leave but I need to get the hell out of here. Every time I step outside, a new bite shows up. It’s not going to be long before I get bit by one with the West Nile.

On the way down there, I missed a whole bunch of billboard signs I wanted to get pics of to post on here because we were headed pass the South Of The Border park. If you’ve never heard of it (and you probably shouldn’t have), google it. Makes no sense but it’s hilarious.

Died with 6 1/2 hours left in the trip.

Pharrell “You Can Do It Too”

Pharrell is a genius. This is one of my favorite songs from his “In My Mind” album from 2006. I was trying to find out where he sampled it from if he did but I couldn’t.

It reminds me of this one video game for Nintendo 64 about airplanes and helicopters and hang gliders. The soundtrack for it seemed like it was too mature for the people it was sold to; it was full of jazz and smooth songs, you probably could’ve fallen asleep playing the game. It was called “Pilotwings 64″. It was a pretty simple sandbox style game, that’s why I liked it so much plus it was just a fun game. Check it out if you still have N64. I miss my Xbox.

Finally..!

I’ve been waiting to get one of these WordPress sites for a while now, ever since I saw Vashtie’s website. That’s way better than MySpace or Twitter, having your own page to do whatever with and not worrying about picture comments or messages. All I do is design my MySpace page anyways, I don’t really talk to anybody on there anymore so having my own lil’ page to design is pretty sick to me.

The only thing I can think of doing with this is posting up graphic designs and my animations, hopefully get some clientele. It’ll be a long time before I do but I figured with this being the genesis, start of my adult life, why not start now. Show my grow over time, have something to look back on to say, “Man, I’ve come a long way.” Still learning how to work with Photoshop and I want to eventually get into the Painter programs, just found out about that a lil’ while ago. I’ll be spending a lot of time of CGTalk actually but still I would rather post as much of my stuff on here as possible. Do my own thang!
